  • Axis Mundi 2012 Red Blend Sanya Ynez Valley, 1RB

Brilliant ruby-red. High-pitched red berry and peppery spice aromas show very good clarity and a hint of candied rose. Silky and refreshingly tangy on the palate, offering vibrant redcurrant and bitter cherry flavors that put on weight with air. Closes spicy and long, with a hint of blood orange adding bite and refreshing bitterness. There's something vaguely Pinot-like going on here.
